Hi, I’m Ben Lewis-Smith — a London-based musician, educator, and dad, passionate about helping people discover (or rediscover) the joy of making music.
I hold a Master’s degree in Music from the University of Oxford and serve as Director of Music at St Columba’s Church of Scotland, Knightsbridge. Alongside a busy performing and conducting schedule, I founded Knightsbridge Music to share what I’ve learned over years of professional experience — and to make piano learning accessible, personal, and genuinely inspiring.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to the piano after years away, my approach is simple: music is for everyone. You can learn from the comfort of your own home, at your own pace, with courses designed to fit around real life — especially if you’re balancing work, family, or both (as I am!).
Everything I teach is shaped by the real musical world I work in every day. My goal is not just to give you notes to play, but to offer insight, encouragement, and the practical tools that help you become a confident, expressive musician.
